Kuala Lumpur is a family friendly place filled with kiddo activities such as the world’s largest walk-in aviary, butterfly park, botanical gardens, planetarium, city parks and the famous 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. These are the tallest twin towers in the world following the 2001 terrorist destruction of New York’s World Trade Center.
This would be the city to go if you still want western comforts (especially food), yet want to experience a multi layered Asian culture. Plenty of shopping can be done in the huge malls. It has a stunning skyline, thousands of skyscrapers, but still maintains a lot of natural landscapes.
For first time visitors to Asia, Kuala Lumpur is a gentle indoctrination into Asia. It’s hurly-burly, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious and majority of the people are pretty friendly.
