Hard work actually does pay and Jacob Ghost Mulei is the true testimony.
The former Harambee Stars Coach turned radio presenter is reaping the benefits of having seen a dream and actually nurtured it.
I’m talking about Olunga who just signed a mega deal with top Chinese flight club Guanzhou Hengfeng Zhichen from Sweden’s Djurgardens IF which is estimated to be worth half a billion shillings.
It saw Olunga have a take home salary of 12 million bob a month and with Ghost Mulei walking away with a cool 38 million bob.
And it was all courtesy of of Fifa’s rules on solidarity fees and compensation which dictate that compensation be paid up to all clubs that contributed to the player’s education and training, in the event a footballer attracts any transfer fees before his 23rd birthday.
And if you must know, Ghost Mulei owns Soka, the Nairobi based liberty sports academy which educated Olunga for 6 years.
