Nairobi- August 24- A young woman has been arrested in Migori in connection to the murder of the late IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.

According to the police who are following crucial leads in a bid of solving the murder, the girl’s phone was used to send threat to the slain ICT manager.

The woman who hails from Awendo will be detained in Nairobi for seven days as police officers establish her connection to the puzzle.

A man who is suspected to have been part of the gang that killed Msando was also arrested by the police as the noose around the murderers tighten.

The suspect was Msando’s landlord.

Police claim that in records that they have received, the landlord was in constant communication with Msando long after he moved out and bought his own house in Nyayo Estate.

Msando who was believed to be a crucial part of the IEBC IFMIS system was found murdered in Kikuyu a week to the August 8 General Election.

The two, although it has not been established, were suspected to have been closet lovers after Msando’s car was spotted severally in Roysambu, Nairobi where the girl lived.

Msando was interred on Saturday, August 19 at his rural home in Migori.


He was survived by his wife and four kids aged between 2 and 10 years.
